Green Technology
| Green Technology. The land based lottery system generates an enormous amount of paper each day. More specifically, over 40 million paper lottery tickets are printed in the United States on a daily basis. In an electronic age and with a focus on limiting greenhouse gases, the mobile lottery represents, perhaps, the greenest mobile application ever developed. As a result of this mobile technology, state governments could potentially qualify for carbon credits that could be traded and recognized as revenue on the open market. | The world’s industrialized countries are also it’s most productive in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. The United States and China combined emit almost 40% of all greenhouse gases worldwide. China has already approved and implemented a mobile lottery for its citizens, now it’s the United States’ turn to decrease its carbon footprint and follow suit. |
