Mobile Lottery LLC has exclusive patent rights for the use of “multiple commercial icons” in “lotteries” and “games of chance,” played on a “graphical user interface.” The patent defines “commercial icons” to include: product and brand names, logos, slogans and jingles; music CDs; book covers, and movie posters; DVD covers, images of athletes and celebrities’ logos or symbols of sports teams. The patent further defines “multiple” as two or more; “lottery” as a game in which money is paid in order to play; “games of chance” as requiring no money to play, but in either case the winnings may be paid in cash or prizes. The term “graphical user interface” is simply defined as any media device with a screen on which a player can manipulate text or graphics. Examples include:
Computers Mobile phones such as iPhones, Droid and/or Blackberry devices Video slot machines, lottery terminals, and kiosks Interactive television. |
